Local Ministries and Partners
Caring Threads Ministry
Caring Threads Ministry is a group of women who sew, knit, and crochet to show God’s love to others. They make blankets for Heartbeats to give new moms and for orphans in orphanages located in Africa.
With a mission to protect and cherish life, Heartbeats provides a variety of services. Volunteers are needed throughout the year to assist with fundraising drives, product drives, and the on--site boutique as well as partnering in prayer. Are you ready to powerfully impact your community?
His Hope Food Pantry
Our Spring Hills His Hope Food Pantry assists with food, clothing, medical expenses and emergency assistance with utilities. Grab a "His Hope" bag and return it filled with the groceries listed on the shopping list! Financial donations are also accepted. Did you know that His Hope also provides transportation to and from services through our Van Ministry? Additionally, our passengers are given a bag of groceries monthly.
Hope Center @ Vertical 196
(Wednesdays, 10am - 2pm)
Throughout the year, SHBC purchases, prepares and serves lunch to some 75 guests from our local homeless population. In addition, they are offered a warm place to socialize, rest and refresh with laundry and shower facilities, a clothing and toiletry free store and Christ-honoring conversation and love!
Licking County Jail Ministry
This ministry assists both inmates and their families with spiritual counseling, crisis intervention and release assistance. Volunteers also assist with in-house mentoring, bible studies and worship services.
Look Up Center
With a mission to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our community, the center relies on volunteers to staff the BLAST after school program, community dinners, dental clinic and the opportunity store. Additionally, the center sponsors seasonal events such as providing backpacks and school supplies in the fall as well coats and warm outerwear in the winter.
