Discipleship Mentor

If you are a new to following Jesus, we want to help you follow Jesus and grow in your relationship with Christ.  Discipleship mentors are willing to meet with you and encourage you as you learn to follow Jesus.

Baptism

We believe that an important step on your faith journey is baptism.  Baptism is a way to let others know Jesus has changed your life and that you have chosen to follow Him.  Our baptism class often takes place the third weekend of each month 45 minutes before each service.  Sign up for this class to learn about baptism or to be baptized.

GROW SERIES

Spring Hills Connection Class -
first Sunday of each month

Our Spring Hills Connection Class provides a way to learn about our story, our mission, what we believe, our groups, and how to get connected.  You’ll get to meet a few people, find out about opportunities to serve, and discover how you can partner with us to make a difference in our community and world. This class also provides information about how to become a member.  Childcare is provided.
When:  the first Sunday of each month (10:30am - 12pm) - 1 Session

Discover Your Design:  How You Can Impact Our World - 2 Session Option

This class will help you explore five areas (spiritual gifts, heart passion, abilities, personality, experiences) so you can have a greater understanding of how God has designed you so you can serve with purpose.

Leadership Essentials - Developing Your Leadership Potential
Starts Wednesday, October 9

Leadership starts with you.  This book and discussion group covers foundational principles for leadership, teamwork, communication, and how to develop as a leader.

Mentoring @ Spring Hills - October 20

This class is required for anyone interested in learning more about mentoring as well as for anyone currently serving in our mentoring ministry at Spring Hills.  The class includes training with three tracks to choose from including general mentoring through life and conversation, discipleship mentoring, and marriage mentoring. You choose your area of focus.  Snacks and drinks are provided. Learn about our vision and strategy for mentoring at Spring Hills and how you can be involved.

Be Still and Know:  Connecting Passion to Purpose

It’s easy to get lost in the busyness of daily life.  This class is designed to help you gain perspective and purpose in accordance to Scripture and your personal walk with God through the daily practice of mindfulness, restoration, and relaxation.  Learn to listen to God by through RAUCH (Hebrew for breath).  There will also be discussion, sharing, and collaboration designed to encourage you to love, live, and lead like Jesus.
Informational Meeting - September 12 (6p-8p):  Meet Patch on Thursday, September 12 to learn about her ministry, ask questions, and explore this practice.  Learn breath-body dynamics and explore how breath and mindfulness go hand-in-hand for clarity of purpose.
WhenThis class is 7 Sessions on Thursdays from 6pm - 8pm (Dates:  September 26, October 3, 17, 24, and November 7, 14, 21)

Cost:  $10 per session ($60 for 7 sessions)
InstructorPatch Wetzel, PatchWorks Ministries (Patch is a group fitness instructor and Worksite Wellness Coach and Breathing Expert at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.  She focuses on juxtaposing yoga and Scripture recognizing we daily depend on God for life and that God has designed us for a purpose.)

The Book of Revelation  - starts October 20

Where was God on 9/11? - October 13

Where was God on 911?  That is a question many ask.  Yvette Gonzalez was to be a victim at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.  Yvette will share a marvelous miracle of rescue and the new life she began that day.  Listen and begin to understand where God was on that fearful day.

The Power of Positive Parenting - September 19

Learn about reasonable expectations for kids, how to create an environment encourages kids to learn, and how to help kids take responsibility for their actions.

Learn how to encourage confidence in kids, how to help children reach their own potential, and how to enable kids to get along well with others.

Learn how to children manage stressful life events, how to help kids develop life skills to manage emotions, and how to help children cope with feelings.

When do classes occur?
Classes are offered in the fall and spring. Classes take place on different days and vary in length from one session to nine sessions to work better with your schedule and to allow you to participate in one or more classes.  

How much do classes cost?
There are no tuition fees, and most classes are free.  A few courses do require books and money is required to purchase the book.  See details for each class by downloading the catalogue below.  Simply pay for a class requiring a book when you register online or at the first class. (A limited number of scholarship are available to help cover book expenses.)  Contact Pastor Tevis at .

Is childcare available?
Childcare is provided for most classes.  Details are included with each class.  You may register for childcare when you sign up for each class.  If childcare is not provided, contact Brittany Pound at at least two weeks before the class begins to learn about possible assistance.  

How do I register?
Simply click on the registration button below when classes are available.  Register at least one week prior to the day a class begins.
