Leadership Pathway: Level 1

Our Spring Hills Connection Class provides a way to learn about our story, what we believe, and our values.  People know about groups, how to get connected, how to discover their gifts, where to serve, and membership. This class provides a way to gather around our Building Generations for Christ mission. 

This class will help you explore five areas (spiritual gifts, heart passion, abilities, personality, experiences) so you can have a greater understanding of how God has designed you, so you can serve with purpose.

Leadership starts with you leading yourself. Learn how you are a person of influence and what it means to grow as a leader. Discover the levels of leadership, how to climb the levels of leadership, and “the law of the lid” that prevents you from leading.  Participants will be provided with an assessment tool to determine his/her level of leadership.

In part 2 of Leadership Essentials, we will begin to learn the 7 key building blocks that are essential in growing and developing as a leader.

You will be equipped with daily, weekly, and monthly or quarterly tools to help you gauge how you or your group/team is doing relationally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. The tools will guide you to determine the next steps to help you grow as a person and leader and create an action plan. 

A class on praying with Kingdom power, covering healing, spiritual gifts, and intercessory prayer. Includes hands-on training using a 5-step prayer model, resources for Scripture-based prayer, and preparation for serving on the Healing Prayer Team.

This training is based on the sermon series from Pastor Tom Pound on Hearing from God.

This class is for anyone interested in learning more about mentoring and is required for anyone serving in our mentoring ministry at Spring Hills. The class equips apprentice leaders with general mentoring skills. Learn about our vision and strategy for mentoring at Spring Hills.


This class will equip you with the tools needed to have 7 key conversations centered on Kingdom living and following Jesus, to have with others new to the faith.  This class is recommended for anyone discipling others new to the Christian faith, including mentors, group leaders, and team leaders.

Missional Living and Training Category: Lead Yourself; Level 1 This training equips you with missional values and strategies to partner with God in your lifestyle and service to be on a mission to invite others into the Kingdom. Learn natural ways to share your story and faith.

In Acts 8:31, the Ethiopian responded, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” This class focuses on helping you have a better understanding of God’s Word.  If you are new to faith in Jesus or just want to learn more about the Bible, this class will begin to unravel key elements of the Bible, including its structure, content, and core beliefs.  The Bible contains various genres such as history, poetry, prophecy, letters, and narratives, making it a diverse and multifaceted Book of books.  Grab a cup of coffee, relax, and begin to understand the best-selling book in history, with an estimated 5 billion copies sold and distributed worldwide.  

If you are new to faith in Jesus or just want to learn more about the Bible, this class will help you better understand God’s Word.  Part 1 presented an overview of the entire Bible.  Part 2 will focus on the Old Testament, major themes, the structure, how to read the Old Testament, and why it is essential to the Christian faith.
