Spring Hills University (SHU)  seeks to fulfill our vision of building generations for Jesus Christ.  Classes are designed to help you thrive and build a strong family. Classes will help you grow spiritually, discover your God-given gifts, and develop as a leader. Some of our classes are offered in person while others are offered online.

Lead Yourself

Classes like Understanding the Bible or Leadership Essentials help you lead yourself. Our Discover Your Design Class helps you examine your personality, abilities, gifts, passions, and life experiences to learn how God can use you to make an impact in our world.

Lead at Home

Our parenting classes and Financial Peace University class helps you lead at home.

Lead Others

We pray you recognize you influence people and leadership is influence.  Classes like Be a Mentor, Missional Living, Communication and Conflict, Building Teams, and Walking with God will help you lead others.

Leadership Pathway

Our Leadership Pathway intentionally develops and encourages you to become the leader you were created to be.  The Leadership Pathway has 4 levels of classes that build on each other.  Many of these classes are listed under the categories of Lead Yourself, Lead at Home, and Lead Others.  However, the Leadership Pathway incorporates these classes and additional classes in an order that purposefully leads people on a path to develop personally and as a leader.

When are in-person classes?
Classes are offered in the fall and spring. Classes take place on different days and the number of sessions for a class varies.
When are online classes available?
We have professionally created many of our classes online. We occasionally offer these classes in person.  However, we want to make it possible for people to continue learning and developing and not have to wait until the class is offered in person. The number of online classes continues to grow. Once you sign up for an online class, it will be available for you to access during the spring or fall semester.
What if I fail to complete an online class by the end of the semester?
If you fail to complete a class online by the end of the semester, sign up for the class when it is offered at another semester.
How do online classes work?
Once you register for an online class, you will receive information to create a free account on Ministry Grid.  Save your login information to access all online classes.  You will view the classes you register to take on your personal Dashboard.  Each class has step-by-step instructions to download material and view videos.  Videos are taught by pastors and ministry leaders in short segments. Our team has intentionally planned each class and created it to be engaging and done well.
What is Ministry Grid?
Ministry Grid is the platform we use to view online classes. We also use Ministry Grid for training for ministry volunteers. Once you register for an online class, you receive information to create a free account on Ministry Grid.  Please be sure to save your login information so you can access any of the online classes when you register.
How does the leadership pathway work?
There are four leadership levels on our Leadership Pathway. Take Leadership Pathway designated classes and complete the levels which intentionally lead you on a path to develop personally and as a leader.  When you complete a class, a final step will ask you to complete a form which notifies us that you have completed the class.  We keep record of classes you complete on each level.  If you complete the class in person, we record your attendance so we know the class has been completed.
Note:  If you discover you completed a Leadership Pathway Class before we created a record of the classes completed, simply notify Pastor Dan.
How much do classes cost?
There are no tuition fees, and most classes are free.  A few courses require books and money may be required to purchase the book. Online classes will include a step to download free materials or a link to purchase any materials.
Is childcare available for in-person classes?
Childcare is only available if Spring Hills Kids is having a weekly scheduled kids ministry when the class is provided.
